Three FASS Alumni Received the 9th Distinguished Alumni Award

Hong Kong Baptist University announced today (14 May) that it will present its 9th Distinguished Alumni Award to four distinguished alumni, with three being FASS alumni: Mr. Chan King-yin, Ms. Lo Koon-lan and Mr. Stephen Yau How-boa. This honor acknowledges their exceptional business and professional accomplishments, as well as their service and contributions to both the University and society.

Mr. Chan King-yin earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Recreation Management in 2014. He is a former top-notch windsurfing athlete, has been instrumental in promoting windsurfing in Hong Kong. As the Head Windsurfing Coach at the Hong Kong Sports Institute and the Head Coach of the Hong Kong Windsurfing Team, he has played a pivotal role in nurturing young talents and achieving remarkable results in international competitions.

Ms. Lo Koon-lan has garnered widespread recognition for her outstanding contributions to the Hong Kong film industry as a distinguished actress. With a major in History from the Department of History and Geography at Hong Kong Baptist College, she has showcased her exceptional acting skills and talent, earning her a prominent place in the industry.

Mr. Stephen Yau How-boa graduated from the Department of Social Work at Hong Kong Baptist College, he has made significant contributions to the field of social work and international collaboration. He holds multiple public responsibilities, such as the esteemed positions of Chief Executive of International Social Service Hong Kong Branch (ISS-HK) and Asia-Pacific Regional Coordinator of International Social Service. He has been instrumental in providing essential services and support to individuals and families in need.
